Basic Handgun Safety & Handgun Familiarization Course
Charlotte Rifle & Pistol Club is committed to providing the highest possible level of training for the general public.
This course is designed for people who want to learn the fundamentals of handgun safety and operation. If you’re thinking about buying a gun; you’ve recently purchased a gun; you’ve been considering obtaining a Concealed Carry Permit (CCW); or you’re just wondering why all your friends are having so much fun target shooting……this is the perfect class for you.
The class is offered once, each month. There is no charge for the course. But, you must register to attend—space is strictly limited.
The class combines classroom learning and live fire for a complete experience. It is open to any NC or SC resident who is qualified to purchase and possess a firearm. Picture identification is required when you check in. Children may attend the course with a parent, please contact us for details.
While there is no cost for the class, you are required to provide your own ammunition. If you own your own firearm, you may use it for the class. If you don’t own a firearm, you can use one of ours.
