2006 HIGH POWER RIFLE NRA APPROVED TOURNAMENTS

Eligibility: Open Rule 1.7(c)
Firing Time: First Relay 9:00 a.m., weather permitting
Course of Fire: National Match Course

- 10 shots standing, slow fire - 200 yds. 10 min. SR Target
- 10 shots sitting, rapid fire - 200 yds. 60 sec. SR Target
- 10 shots prone, rapid fire - 300 yds. 70 sec. SR3 Target
- 20 shots prone, slow fire - 300 yds. 20 min. MR63 Target

Each relay will have a ten-minute sighting period prior to the standing, slow-fire stage and a five-minute sighting period prior to the prone, rapid-fire stage. An unlimited number of sighting shots is allowed from any position. All sighting shots are slow fire.

Classification: NRA high power classification will be used. Unclassified shooters will fire in the Master Class for the purpose of classification Rule 19.1 & 19.2

Equipment: Service rifle - Rule 3.1, 3.1.1 and 3.1.2
Match rifle - Rule 3.3, 3.3.1 Any rifle of question MUST be approved by the Match Director prior to the competition.
Scoring: Competitors will act as scorers. Rule 10.5
Rules: Most recent NRA high power rules and CR & PC range rules
Award Schedule: NRA Award Points or cash

1st Place Match Rifle 15 points (15 or more competitors entered)
1st Place Service Rifle 15 points (15 or more competitors entered)

Awards will be mailed with a copy of the statistical bulletin as soon as possible after the tournament.
There must be a minimum of three competitors in each class; otherwise, individuals must fire in the next higher class for awards. There must be a minimum of fifteen competitors entered for 1st place match and service awards to be given.

Entry Fee: $15.00 per adult competitor, $8.00 per junior competitor ($4.50 to the NRA and $.50 to the NCRPA per competitor is included.)

2006 HIGH POWER RIFLE HISTORIC MILITARY RIFLE MATCH

DATES: January 8, 2006 and July 2, 2006
ELIGIBILITY: All persons
FIRING TIME: First Relay 9:00 a.m., weather permitting
COURSE OF FIRE: 10 shots prone, slow fire 200 yards 10 minutes SR target
- 10 shots prone, rapid fire 200 yards 70 seconds SR target
- 10 shots sitting, rapid fire 200 yards 60 seconds SR target
- 10 shots standing, slow fire 200 yards 10 minutes SR target

Each relay will have a five-minute sighting period prior to the start of the match. Five sighting shots are allowed from any position. All sighting shots are slow fire. There will be a three-minute preparation period prior to each stage of the match (including the sighting stage). No alibis will be granted in the rapid-fire stages.

CLASSIFICATION: None. All competitors compete for overall prizes.

The following rules apply:
1. Rifles shall be configured as issued.
2. Metallic battle sights only (no national match sights or scopes.)
3. Where applicable, rifles will be capable of semi-automatic fire only.
4. Trigger pull weight must be 4.5 lbs. minimum and will be checked before the match.
5. Only web or leather slings of original design are allowed.
6. Stock bedding is allowed but may not be externally seen. Also, bedding cannot affect any safety mechanism of the rifle.
7. Only ball ammunition (commercially manufactured) may be used.
Competitors using .30-06 caliber rifles must use the M2 ball ammunition supplied.

SCORING: Competitors will act as scorers but may not score their own target.
AWARDS: To be announced.
ENTRY FEE: $22.00 per competitor. Includes 45 rounds of M2 ball ammunition in eight-round clips. Competitors may retain the empty brass and clips. Fifty percent of the entry fee will be used to purchase supplies for the North Carolina Junior Rifle Program administered by the North Carolina Rifle & Pistol Association. The other fifty percent will be retained by the club to cover the cost of ammunition, targets, and awards.

2006 HIGH POWER RIFLE PRONE SLOW FIRE FUN MATCH

FIRING TIME: First relay 9:00 a.m., weather permitting
COURSE OF FIRE: First stage, 20 shots prone, slow fire 300 yards in 20 minutes on Targets to be announced, Second stage, 20 shots prone, slow fire 300 yards in 20 Minutes in MR63 Target
There will be a 10-minute sighting period prior to each stage. Competitors may use a different rifle for each stage if desired.
CLASSIFICATION: No classification system will be used.
EQUIPMENT: Service rifle, any rifle-iron sights, any rifle-any sight (scope), or F class. F class rifles may be varmint, hunting, or tactical rifles. F class shooters must fire prone, but may use any combination of bipod, rifle rest, and/or sandbags. Maximum caliber allowable is .30 caliber. No muzzle brakes or compensators will be allowed.
RULES: Governed by CR & PC range rules
AWARDS: Awards will be paid in each category with three or more shooters. Second in category will be awarded for five or more shooters in category. A statistical bulletin will be mailed to each shooter.
ENTRY FEE: $15 per adult and $8 per junior competitor.
